From Silence to Success: Vishwas' Journey
1st April, 2024
Is it possible to find triumph in the face of silence? At the tender age of six, Vishwas Shinde, from Harcheri village in Ratnagiri, Maharashtra, contracted Mumps, a seemingly innocuous childhood illness. However, for Vishwas, it resulted in a significant impairment to his hearing abilities. Born into a humble family, with his mother working as a house helper and his father passing away early in his life, Vishwas faced numerous challenges. His inability to hear or speak deeply impacted his childhood and adolescence, further isolating him from the world around him.
It was at a health assessment camp for children organised by MMF that Vishwas encountered our team, a group committed to making life better for people like him. With the help of their guidance and support, Vishwas underwent a ground-breaking capillary implant procedure, marking the beginning of his transformative journey. With each passing day after the surgery, Vishwas felt the world opening up to him in ways he never thought possible, experiencing a remarkable improvement in his quality of life. Empowered with the ability to hear, he embraced new opportunities that came his way. He pursued higher education, eventually earning a degree in engineering.
Today, Vishwas stands as a testament to resilience and perseverance. With his newfound confidence and qualifications, he has secured a stable job as a mechanical engineer in Badlapur city in Thane, Maharashtra. His journey from silence to success is an inspiring example of courage and determination in the wake of difficulties in life.
